Windows 7 Pro User Privileges

Starting Adobe Fireworks CS4 from Task Bar returns message below. As I am the only user and Administrative user I don't understand the message. When I am finally able to dismiss message, Fireworks CS4 starts with 'An internal error occurred." which cannot be dismissed and I must resort to Task Manager to shut down Fireworks.

I have updated privileges, rebooted etc. - no help. Had similar privileges issue with Outlook 2007 - reinstalled Office 2007 - no help. This has to be a systemic problem - reinstall Windows 7 Pro?

"Your user privileges do not allow Fireworks to update your registry. Launch and Edit with Dreamweaver [not running with Dreamweaver!] will not properly until Fireworks is launched while using Administrative privileges"

Try to edit (or add) something in the HKLM\SOFTWARE registry. If you can't, the administrator group might have been removed from the permissions. Try to add it again (maybe need to take ownership).

As an experiment, I turned off UAC, restarted and the '...following program to make changes... message no longer appears. Therein I suppose lies the problem. How to fix with restarted UAC - eh?

Following message/issue still appears..

Fireworks CS4 starts with 'An internal error occurred.' which cannot be dismissed and I must resort to Task Manager to shut down Fireworks.

Hopefully, reinstall will solve.

So the "Your user privileges do not allow Fireworks to update your registry..." message went away, even after turning UAC back on?

Yes! - but response still required by Outlook 2007

Also, the Fireworks CS4 'internal error...' problem is solved here:

>>So it always flashes the UAC when you launch Outlook? Does it open OK if you click "yes"?
Yes, it does (sometimes the shield is in the Task Bar).

>>...check if Outlook 2007 is running in any compatibility mode:
Unchecked all, set to Win 7 - still get popup.

For some time, I have been considering purchasing another MacMini and using Parallels with my Win 7 Pro OS & Office 2007 and two displays.  As this would be clean installs, problems should be few, if any.

As I use OSX Mavericks and Windows 7 Pro frequently, maybe now is the time...
