Wordpress dynamic landing pages based on where user was directed from - Possible use of Google Analytics / Adwords

I have a wordpress webpage I am working on that has the following:

1.Phone number displayed
2. Email address displayed and mailto link embedded

I would like to have that information change based on where the user comes from so that when they contact the webmaster, they know where they were coming from on the web. the 4 general dynamic views would be:

1. Users who came from Google and from California
2. Users who are in NY and came from Google
3. Those that manually typed in a URL
4. Those who came in from some other source.

The information should remain the same as the users navigate through the website. The only thing I can think of is there would be multiple copies of each page and that group would be used based on the initial landing page. That would be a lot of work, there should be an easier way I think. Given that, I still don't know how to set the criteria to identify which page to send the user to.

Also Ideal would be a cookie that could be placed on the users computer so that when they return, the information displayed would be the same and it would look consistent to the user.

Lastly I would ask, is google analytics or google adwords useful in this scenario? I know with analytics you can see where your users are coming from, but we need to tie together knowing the source of where the people that call the number on the webpage or email  to identify that source.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Jason,

Thanks for the feedback. The only other questions I Have are related to how to make the information dynamic. The information I want to be dynamic  should appear on all pages, not just the landing pages. The only solution I have been able to think of is to have multiple versions of each page to accommodate all the choices. The problem with that is that if any updates need to be made to any one page, then that same update needs to be made across all versions of that same page. Is there a better and easier solution to this?
