signed up to outlook.com for email access to my main pop email account. I set up the pop account fine and it can send and receive but everytime I want to compose a new email I have to remember to change the send from account off the default outlook account I had to set up to use site. how can I set up my pop address as the default sending address? thanks

If you go into the account settings it should give you the option to set a paricular email account as the default - ensure your pop account is set as the default account and that should do the job (may need a restart of Outlook).

this is the online outlook.com I do not have the office outlook software on my computer. thanks
My fault in that case you can not perform this action in Outlook.com it was designed to be synchronize to an email client. Per this article Change default email client to Outlook.com
The only thing you can do is perform the action in the example below.
