When using RDP, i have a username of domain\username.xxxxxxx and it drops the domain off

I have the username saved as domain\username.xxxxx which is what we have to use to login.  When I double click on the RDP icon it always drops the domain off and I have to hit use another account and type it in.  Not a big deal but my users don't always remember what I tell them:)  It happens on Vista and Win 7 Home.

Thanks
Mel

Is the PC you are trying to connect FROM in the same domain as the PC/server you are trying to connect TO?

I've noticed that when I changed a username or password for a saved RDP connection, I have to click the Save button and then immediately login with those credentials the first time - then it sticks.  Other than that, it will ask me to place the credentials in time and again.

In the screenshot (attached), make sure you are checking the box, "Allow me to save credentials" as well.
