How different in speed do they run among i7, i5, i3 CPU and other model in pc ?

Hi Expert
We know i7 > i5 > i3 > Dual core 2.4 or other model in PC speed. But i7 is more expensive than other models. I just want to know how faster  i7 is than other.  If it is just faster 5%, it does not worth buying it. Anyone can tell how faster the i7 is than other ? 5%, 10% or more than that ? Thank you.

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I am not expert with PC. It is a little hard to evaluate it based on many factors.

Anyone can tell how faster it is between A and B if we compare both ?

A:
AMD Turion(tm) II P540 Dual-core processor 2.40 GHz,
RAM 8GB

B:
4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-4500U (1.80GHz 1600MHz 4MB)
RAM 8GB DDR3L 1600 MHz, on-board two-channel

Thank you

But Turion CPU cycle is 2.4, which is higher than " B "
