Motherboard Recommendation for Thunderbolt display for Imac mid 2011

Hi Guys,

Im looking some help to build my new Desktop PC with thunderbolt display output. Goal is to get display on IMAC,  I have IMAC 27 inch with thunderbolt port i want to use one display for both IMAC  i don't have enough space to put two displays. I did some research i found MSI MothersBoards, Gigabyte MB & Asus MB. Please help me to find right board which can give me output to IMAC on thunderbolt port. i don't want to play games or anything. I need normal display.

thanks for reply so, your saying ASUS not good or not tested?
This gigabyte looks good to me so, for thunderbolt output for IMAC. Do i need any graphics card in order to take output for apple IMAC ? or it will work out  of the box ?

ASUS is on a very short list of manufacturers I won't buy and for very good reasons.

good enough!

my question was do I need any graphics card in order to get display on iMAC?

With that systemboard, you just need to make sure your Haswell processor includes a graphics section.

No; that is a first generation Core processor and Intel has changed to LGA1150 with the 4th generation.

Its only 3/4 as fast as the old I7; but an upgraded CPU will be much cheaper in a year.
