Have a users Imac thats been running very slow since upgrading to Mavericks. Trying to reinstall Mavericks over the top so as to not loose any settings.<br />

(Using the built-in recovery disk to reinstall OS X while keeping your files and user settings intact.)<br />

It starts but then wants to log in to itunes to verify the account - this would involve be requesting the users itunes password.<br />

is there any of doing this without having the users password ?<br />

Reinstalling Mavericks without iTunes password

Apple's early computers ran on a variety of operating systems, including a Pascal version and one based on CP/M, before releasing its ProDOS with the advent of its 16-bit computer. With the release of the Lisa, which had its own OS, Apple and computing entered the graphical age; it was followed by the Macintosh, which offered a series of "System" operating systems.
