I need to format a laptop harddrive that has bene encrypted
We use McAffe safeboot to encrypt our Windows 7 PCs and laptops. I have one laptop that has been corrupted by the safeboot software. I tried to re image the machine but the connection fails and I am assuming it is due to the encrytion. I have never had an issue imaging before. At this point I just want to download something to a thumb drive that will let me reformat the C drive on my Lenovo laptop. Does anyone have software to suggest? I hope to just boot to a thumb drive and reformat, then start over.

can you not just delete the partition (or volume) from disk management if you connect the drive as seceond drive? then you can also recreate one, and format it
There are some encryptors that put sensitive info on disk and then mark these sectors as defective... pgp WDE used to do this... in this case, you would need dban or some other wiping software. But normally, you will do fine with diskpart clean, it's a built-in command.
