Why is my exchange 2010 server not hosting multiple email domains.

I have an exchange server 2010sp3 on SBS2011, I used the sbs wizard (set up you internet address) to setup the first email domain, the in exchange management console  <Accepted Domains> I added 2 more email domains, in <E-mail Address Policies> I added the additional domains for users. MX records are correct for all the domains
The Problem is that the server will only accept emails from the first domain and responds to in coming emails to the second and third domains with "The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found"

Firstly check the user accounts - does the email address you are trying to send to actually show on the user account/mailbox itself? It could be the email address policy hasn't applied correctly.

Also do a telnet directly to the server and try sending to one of the email addresses for the second/third domain. If this works then it sounds like external issues with dns routing to incorrect server.

each user has listed all three domains in their mail box properties ie user@domain1.com, user@domain2.com,  user@domain3.com and user@domain.local

I can do a tracert to all three domain names and I get the same external IP address for all three which is my routers internet address.

I can telnet to all three domains on port 25, I can pick a user and manually send them a message to all three domain. and the emails appear in the users inbox.

I then send an emails from an external email domain and only one of the domains will receive my emails the other two respond with "The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. "
Are the additional domains set as authorative?
all domains are set as authorative. the default for all domains but one are set to false, is that normal?
Yes you'll only have one default. If you send an internal email to a secondary domain does it work?
sending emails internally from one user to another users secondary domain works. the user receives the email, when you check the outlook properties of the receivers name it  shows all the receivers email accounts, all four domains.
Does your external email flow through any cloud filtering or on site email spam filtering/edge server or is it direct to the server?
direct to server
Very strange. Can you try to send an email via telnet. Also might be worth restarting the microsoft exchange transport service
Email can be sent via telnet, to any domain
