simple easy video editing app (free?!) for windows to just save segments from a dashcam
Just got a dashcam. Want to be able to save just the 'good' scenes it captures.
Like today, a deer ran across the road and someone else just missed it. the video is a 15 minute avi file. I want to be able to mark a start and end point in the video and be able to save just that minute or 2
Not looking to do anything else with the video (OK, maybe string several into a longer one maybe).
Right now I am waiting for windows movie maker to import the 15 miunte file - it's taking 8 minutes to do that.
is there an easier / quicker way?

The reason it takes so long is because it's an avi and windows moviemaker has load the audio

thanks! It was a cheap dashcam and the bracket broke... so I lost my enthusiasm / urgency for this....

could you not repair the bracket?
