Windows 8.1 - Can't map network drive
I am trying to map a network drive on a Dell Inspiron laptop. I have network sharing turned on, and permissions set appropriately. I can see the particular network drive I am trying to map to, but repeatedly it rejects the credentials and I am positive I am using the proper ones. I have even tried my admin login and also several other user's credentials that are able to map to the drive. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there something I am missing here? Thanks!
Have seen it before on windows 7 where UAC was causing an issue.
Also check in advanced network settings that Network Discovery is switched on.

Can you map the network drive from the command line?

If you're on a network that has a domain, you can add that.
If you're Computer 2 trying to map a network drive on Computer 1.
Then try YourDomain\UserNameonCompu
Even if you don't have a network domain, then the domain will be the name of Computer 1 itself.
Computer1Name\UserNameonCo
