Formatting Appearing in Microsoft Word

Hello Experts,

Each time I open Word the Formatting and Markup keep on popping up. Can someone show me how to stop the formatting from appearing. I want to ensure that the formatting doesn't appear when opened up by others .. see attachment.

Cheers

There's an easy way to turn them off and leave all of the other tracked changes visible, and it works in both Word 2007 and Word 2010. Just go to the Review tab, click Show Markup and uncheck Formatting:

Likewise, you can hide Comments, Ink, Insertions, and Deletions or remove the Markup Area Highlight shading behind where comments and other change notes appear. You can also hide notes from a specific reviewer, though the changes they made will remain unless you reject them.

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for responding. I tried your suggestion before posting the question. However, when I open the document the formatting keeps on showing up.....
Edwin,

I think the problem is where it stated 'Final Showing Markup', see attachment.

When I change it to 'Final' all the formatting disappears, which is great. However, it reappears with 'Final Showing Markup' when I reopen the document.
