Outlook - Invites for recurring meetings randomly resent to people who've accepted.
Hi Exchange and Outlook Gurus!
I have a unique problem .
Setup: Exchange 2010, AD at 2008
Problem: User A, with Outlook 2010, sends a recurring meeting to a distribution group. Everyone accepts the meeting. Randomly users within the distribution group receive the meeting invite again, again, and again for the same recurring meeting.
I've tired to delete the recurring meeting and create new recurring meetings. The same thing keeps happening.
Any idea on how to fix this?

Are you sure the meeting organizer isn't making changes to the meeting? Whenever a meeting organizer makes a change it will resend a new notification.
I have also seen this happen when there are people on the list using mobile devices to accept the meeting request. Ensure that the mobile devices are on the latest version of the iOS (yes it is an Apple problem) and Exchange is fully patched.

suggest users not to make any edits using their Activesync devices. There are lot of similar issues reported for these.

I verbally verified the meeting organizer hasn't made any changes to the meeting requests (notes, date, people invited, etc).
I verified they sent the meeting invites out from their laptop. No changes were made using an ActiveSync device. They do have the mailbox on their Apple iPhone 5.
I verified everyone invited doesn't have the mailbox setup on their mobile device. They are all on Outlook 2010 or 2003.
We are on Exchange 14.3 (Build 123.4).

I am having a continuing problem with this too. My boss (of course) has a myriad of Exchange clients: Outlook 2007 (running in Citrix), iPhone, iPad, and iCal on OS X. Sometimes it resends invitations for single-occurrence meetings that occurred a month or more in the past! Arghhh....
Since the iOS ActiveSync is so bad, is there a third-party app that does a better job? Or do the third-party calendar apps all rely on the same Apple ActiveSync engine?
