HP Proliant ML350 G5 - Not Accessible

Hello,

I have a member server HP ML350 G5 running Windows 2008 R2 Standart Edition. This morning I could not connect to the server. It is online - replying to pings, I can browse the shared folders but no remote access to it. Also my Navision could not connect to the SQL database that is sitting on that server. After turning it off and on again, it is running fine.

The only issue that I have with this server is that the battery for the cash on the controller needs to be replaced. However I am not quite sure why this server goes down in such way.

Can you please advise ?

Usually ill behaved software with memory leaks would cause such issues. If OS and software updates or moving to alternative products don't help or aren't an option, regular scheduled server reboots can be your only alternative.

Thank you Rindi,

I will schedule weekly reboots, as I could not see any software or hardware issue, that can lead be to the real problem.
