Bios Update
I need a binary file for a bios update that I cannot get from the supplier's website. I am updating the bios for a Pegatron IPIEL-LA3 motherboard, Intel G43 Chipset, running Windows 7 64bit Professional SP1. All I can get from the HP site, this is an HP Pavillion HPE-110T CTO desktop computer, is an EXE file to run the update through Windows. I have tried several times, including booting to safe mode with and without command prompt, to update with this file but the update is never successful. The process will get about 99% complete and hang every time.

I would like to try updating using a binary file instead but so far have been unable to locate a binary file for this board. Can anyone help?

what is the reason for the bios upgrade?
since it hangs, you probably have hardware problems - solve these first

you can extract the files with 7-zip, or a couple of others. More info :  http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/204334-how-extract-contents-exe-file-instead-installing.html

i am having trouble adding memory and am hoping a bios update may help to resolve the problem.

The BIOS update at HP suggests nothing about fixing memory problems.

See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=pv-73791-1

It is more likely that the memory you are using is not the correct type required or is incompatible.

Give us the specs of the old memory and the new memory.
