Blackberry 9780 BES old messages not showing on Device after power off for 30 days

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question (I hope), I have a user that was off for 30 days on sick leave and is now back in the office. They turned on their 9780 device today and all new email from today is showing but the last 30 days are not, actually nothing before today is showing in his inbox.

I have tried resending service books from BES server and changed the device settings from 30 to 60 days under the email options for 'keep email' and still nothing.

Is there a quick fix for this? I have been searching and trying things found online for over 2 hours and nothing has worked or made any difference.

I never deactivated the email or the BES activation, the only thing that has happened is the device was physically off for 30+ days.

The only thing I can think may have had any bearing on this is that an admin person in the office added his exchange email account to their ipad to monitor it for the 30 days and they may have sent a couple of emails from the ipad as him.

Thanks in advance,

Using an iPad shouldn't have caused a problem.
I can only presume that the messages have timed out. Reactivation the Blackberry is probably the best option here, just ensure that you have the back fill options set to 30 days so the old email is sent to the device.

By reactivation - do you mean restore BB device to default and re-add the BES account through Enterprise Activation workflow?

Thanks Simon,

The user decided that they did not need the old data so we just left it as is, but we know for next time what to do.

thanks,
