Cisco Voice Gateway Router PRI configuration

I currently have a cisco 2821 router that I have configured for my Voice Gateway Router.  It has two VIC2-4FXO cards in it, with a total of 8 analog phone lines plugged into it.  We are growing out of the 8 phone lines, and are looking at going with a voice T1 so we have more lines and DID capabilities.  Below is what the telco is offering me:

*16 paths for voice/pri/analog lines – thus can handle pri and fax machines
*unlimited local calling
*5,000 long distance minutes; current volume 3582 – thus no overage
*1 toll free #
*100 DID #’s with caller id name and #
*the package has internet on it – only a small amount 1.54mbps
*managed router
*web portal to make moves adds and changes

What kind of card will I need to get for my 2821 router to interface with this?  I'm guessing with 16 paths, I will be able to handle 16 simultaneous calls at the same time right?  I am having a meeting with the telco tomorrow, but wanted to get a heads up on what interface cards I will need and what the configuration will look like.  Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

The other option the telco gave me is this:

Option 2:  Straight pri handoff 23 channels of DID service
            *23 paths for PRI only
            *Unlimited local calling
*5,000 long distance minutes; current volume 3582 – thus no overage
            *1 toll free #
*100 DID #’s with caller id name and #

I think this is more what I want if I want a direct connect to my gateway router.  Would you VOIP experts agree?  The option I posted in the inital question has a managed router and a web portal so I don't think that's the option I would want.  If so, what type of interface card would I need for the 2821 router, and what would the configuration look like?  I have only configure VIC2-4XO card in the past.  I have never configured a voice T1.  Thanks
So I had a conversation with the telco this morning and with option 1, and can give me a PRI hand off to voice gateway router.  So my question is regarding what interface I need to connect to PRI handoff with 16 channels.

Would a HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI work?

Option 2 seems like the better option.

Post a "show inventory" of the router so we can see what PVDM modules you have in it to make recommendations.
unfragmented - because the Telco is giving me a PRI handoff, I believe HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI is what I need.  It does support voice.  I put a presales case in with Cisco yesterday and this is the card they came back with.

jplagens - I will let you know what PVDM module I have installed once I get to the office today.

Thank you both for your help so far.
I think I read the original post too quickly.  You say in the post that the Telco is giving you a PRI handoff.  Then in the description you say the Telco is providing a "*web portal to make moves adds and changes".  Typically when I hear PRI handoff I take that to mean you are plugging the PRI into your own phone system.  Using a Cisco 2821 router I was assuming you are using CallManager Express.  When I hear "web portal to make moves add and changes", that sounds like the Telco is providing some sort of a hosted-PBX to allow you to add/delete handsets and adjust the amount of channels on the system.
The 2821 is the Voice Gateway Server only.  I am running CUCM 7 and Unity Connection on other servers.  The web portal was an option if we didn't have our own phone system.  Since we do, they are providing me a PRI handoff to my 2821.  All I need is to order a PRI interface card.  From what I am reading and from what Cisco pre-sales told me is I need a HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI
unfragmented,

the more I look at it, i think presales is wrong and I will need what you recommended which is a VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 module to connect to a Voice PRI.

jplagens - I have two PVDM2-48 modules in the router.

So does everyone agree that a VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 module is what I need to connect to a voice PRI?  The PVDM's I have should be more than sufficient, correct?
I've done many of these PRI installs and we've always used the VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 with the 2800 series routers.  That's not to say the other one won't work, but I think in this situation the VWIC is the correct card.

Two PVDM2-48 modules should be more than enough for you.
Thanks.  Cisco is telling me that this card will not connect to a PRI, but it's presales and they don't seem to know much.
so with a VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1, should not have a problem connecting to a 16 channel PRI right?
Shouldn't have a problem.

on the router it looks like:

controller T1 0/0/0
pri-group timeslots 1-16,24

Typically the carrier will be ascending which means calls are coming in channels 1,2,3.....  And you are descending which means calls are leaving via channels 16,15, 14.....

jplagen's info looks good.  Assuming you're using MGCP, CUCM will do the rest of the config.

One word of warning if using mgcp.  Out of the box, CUCM MGCP does not support partial T1/E1.

What I do is allow CUCM/MGCP to configure a full t1/e1, then disable CCM configuration on the router, shutdown the PRI, correct the pri-group timeslots, then reenable the PRI.  Do not reenable CCM config download though, or it will overwrite your pri-group timeslot setting on the router, and you will have to repeat the procedure.
I use an H.323 gateway, will this be a problem?
