Microsoft Lync -- recommended phones ?

I might switch to a Microsoft Lync phone system.

What "BASIC" phones do you recommend ?

You'll want to stick to either Optimized or Qualified handsets for Lync, which are listed on the following device page:

What you need to decide is if you want USB-only devices which run off of the Lync desktop client on a PC, orif you need separate IP Phones which handle the media payload and offload this processing load from the PC, yet the phone is still controlled by the connected PC.

The most popular options there are either the Polycom CX300 (USB only) and the CX600 (Ethernet + USB for remote control).
