ORTS open RTS AI coding system in C++. Does it have traction?
Hi
I found ORTS, an open RTS in C++, intended for programming of RTS AI.
I cant seem to find any verification of its prevalence.
Is game AI coding research as big as it could be?
Has anybody used it?
Thanks

It's a pity that the code is completely undocumented, because I would be able to figure it out.
I'm prepared to redo it in Java or Python.

Not a surprise, seeing as AI coding is such a narrow interest. - And v.complicated.
Do you see any scenario where its existence could bring it to more prevalence amongst universities and even high schools? There were 2 other dudes at both my high schools who were computer adepts. C++ was a bad choice, IMO, because most coders now prefer Java or Python.
