how to upgrade Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional
I'm confused. When I enter "Anytime Upgrade" on my WIN7 Home Premium computer, I immediately get a screen with the ability to purchase Professional ($89.95) or Ultimate ($139.95).
When I do the same on Vista Business, I get a "Compare the editions of Windows Vista", no links to purchase. This takes me to the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor", which, when run, gives me a screen that says "Upgrade Options Available - Go online to get detailed instructions on how to upgrade". Clicking that gives me lots more stuff, including how to upgrade given that I already have the software -- but no where can I actually purchase and download the upgrade!!!!!
Seems like it should be simple. How do I do this?

Not sure whether this option is still maintained. I would buy 7, you don't need an upgrade edition and it won't be cheaper.
i agree - backup the data, and do a fresh install - it will save time and trouble in the end
Well, I did not mean he should do a clean install, the upgrade works perfectly (did so many...), it saves lots of time. He can upgrade using any setup disk.

So, If I were to buy the download I can see on my WIN7 computer (see image), I could use that on my VIsta? 89 bucks is as cheap as I can get it anywhere.
In fact, I don't really care about upgrade versus fresh install since this is a used Vista laptop I bought just for this purpose. I would like to try the upgrade first as I have another Vista laptop I definitely *would not* like to lose apps and data.

I purchased a WIN7 upgrade from http://www.discountmountainsoftware.com/miwi7prup32b.html?cmp=nextag&utm_source=nextag.com&utm_medium=cse&utm_term=Microsoft+Windows+7+Professional+Upgrade+(OEM)+-+32/64+Bit+-+DOWNLOAD+ONLY&utm_campaign=nextag ($109), did an upgrade (not custom), applied updates and voila!, everything worked just fine.
