Battery Charge Notification On Lenovo Laptop

I am working on a Lenovo B590 where the battery charge indicator which usually shows in the lower right hand corner is no longer appearing.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

1.Click Start
2.Go to Control Panel
3.Select Programs and Features
4.Uninstall Lenovo Power Manager
5.Reboot
6.Download Lenovo Power Manager;
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-70601
7.Install it
8.Reboot
9.You should now see the  battery Icon

Also look in Action Center, Customize and see if the icon has been hidden from the system tray. That will cause what you see.
