What is the best way to sign a fillable PDF document on an iPad?

I have a fillable PDF that needs to be signed by clients.  I have tried a couple of apps but they don't seem to work smoothly.  Can someone recommend an app or process to sign fillable PDF documents.  I really do not want to subscribe to a service with a monthly fee.

Thanks, Jon

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Does Quickoffice app work in your situation? It's a free app.

When you say 'sign', do you mean type into the field or actually have a person sign their name into the document by using their finger?
Adobe Reader has recently been updated to include new commenting and annotation functions.

I am not sure how far the e-sign features will help, or indeed how far certificate based signatures can be implemented, but it has finger or stylus 'sign by handwriting' features out of the box though. It is certainly worth a trial run.

I have just implemented a 700 field survey form for Android and the Reader seems to hold up well.

I would like them to sign with their finger.

I have tried Adobe Reader.  I thought everything worked well except for the signing part.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I purchased PDF Export from iTunes for $10.  It does everything I need.
