Just make sure that you do apply the updates. It may not be necessary to do them the day they are published, but don't wait too long. It is also a good idea to make sure the backup is OK before applying the updates, so you can easily restore the good version should anything break.

My Questions is: How can I eliminate the security concerns with updates turned off. There are only 4 computers accessing a sql server database - 2 remotely. There is no need for email and accessing the internet.<br />
