JDBC vs JCC

I have been reading posts that seem to differentiate between JDBC and JDBC

I am using the following jar for my JDBC connection

db2jcc.jar

What is the difference between jcc and jdbc, if any?

Thanks

jdbc is a standard API to access databases from java, so there are many implementations of this standard (there is an implementation to access DB2, one to access Oracle etc...)

db2jcc.jar is a jar file that contains the IBM db2 universal jdbc driver (or put otherwise, the IBM implementation of jdbc for accessing db2)
