Save the below content as a .bat file and run as admnistrator:

regsvr32 MSXML3.dll /s
net stop wuauserv
cd /d %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
rd /s /q DataStore
net start wuauserv
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 mssip32.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll

 services.msc and
stop windows update and
Go to windows explorer and find SoftwareDistribution - r ename it as SoftwareDistribution.old
 services.msc and
start windows update

Let me know if that works.
