How do I extract a common field and associate date automatically

In the attached spreadsheet I a cell (TOT/AVG) and a corresponding date that I need to extract into two coloumns (Date and Total)

You can use the "Text to Columns" function.

Highlight the cell in question and click text to columns.  Follow the prompts as indicated in the screenshots below

Click ok to "Replace Destination cells..."
