The user XX has been authorized with all access rights for Sales_DB on Reporting Server
Domain\User XX  Assigned Access Rights: Browser, Content Manager, My Reports, Publisher, Report Builder
but he tries to access the regarding page such as atttached file, he gets access denied error so why does he get this errors like this even though he has all rights on reporting server?

Hi,

Go to the reporting services server.

Normally, http://servername/Reports

Then select the particular report or the entire folder which contains the reports.

Select the properties tab on top and then the security tab in left.
Then click New Role Assignment.

In the text box provided type the username which you got in the error message:

"The permissions granted to user 'TO\username$' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)"

Then tick the Browser check box.
Click OK.

The above information was found here http://forums.asp.net/t/1208406.aspx?The+permissions+granted+to+user+domain+username+are+insufficient+for+performing+this+operation+rsAccessDenied+

Good Luck

Can you access the reporting with another account? if you can use that account to perform the above mentioned steps?

Ok, now with the admin account, follow the steps above, then when you get to the section to specify an account name, add the desired account in there and it should work

Im off for the day, but will check back in a few hours.

Good Luck

OK, there are few more things i can think of,

1. Run Browser "as administrator"

2. Look at the reports virtual directory in IIS and check if Anonymous access is granted, if it is, disable it. then test.

If that doesnt work, try looking at the explanation in this link for more explanation on permissions http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337279.aspx
