Are these servers VMWare guests?  If so, disjoin from the domain, remove VMWare tools, then rejoin and reinstall the tools.

    What O/S is/are the server(s)?
    Are they virtual?
What O/S is on the PC you are using?

    Accepted Solution

Last night we finally uninstalled the Symantec Endpoint Protection on those two servers and the problem disappeared.  It seems that when I upgraded from SEP 11.0 to SEP 12.1 on our AntiVirus server, these two servers (out of twelve servers and 90 clients) didn't like having the SEP 11.0 client.  Again, after removing the old SEP client from these two servers -- I even had to run Symantec's CleanWipe utility on one of them -- the problem disappeared from both servers.

Realizing that the only recent change to our domain was the upgrade of SEP on our AntiVirus server.  This wasn't my first suspicion for a solution, but uninstalling the SEP client/agent on the two problematic servers made that error message disappear.
