Can I restrict access to a DL using the same DL as the approved sender list?

So i want to restrict a DL (AllStaff) so that only the Domain Users can use it, no one outside our organization. I would like to use the builtin "Domain users" DL in the AllStaff DL but it wasn't available to be added to the Message Delivery Restrictions. So my question is since the AllStaff DL has all of the domain users can i use the AllStaff DL to limit the users. it seemed to allow me to.

I hope that makes sense.

I do not believe this is possible, since it will only allow an AD User Object or an AD Security Group Object.. in theory you could make the group you are talking about a mail enabled security group, and then assign it as the DL approved sender but I have yet to try it.
