Your sample picture looks like a Bootstrap modal dialog, check:
http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#modals
Simple usage sample code:
http://nakupanda.github.io/bootstrap3-dialog/

For help on how to setup/use Bootstrap with VS, check section "Bootstrap in the Visual Studio 2013 web project templates" at Creating ASP.NET Web Projects in Visual Studio 2013

Are you trying to use Telerik?  http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/window/examples/modalpopup/defaultcs.aspx or do you have to use Telerik?

I do not have to use telerik.

The example you sent me to does not look like my example, but they have given me some ideas that I'll have to do with styles.

thanks.

It doesn't really look like that modal for bootstrap, as the bootstrap is inside the box and my example has it outside.

I did find that telerik does this with their RadLightBox, but that doesn't work with all document types, but could work with a ContentTemplate under certain circumstances.

thanks!

There are a few parts to this.  One is the javascript that opens the modal. Next is any additional js that amy use ajax to inject the content to the modal and lastly is the skin.

All the modals work in about the same way.  Skinning is a matter of adjusting the css.  I don't work in .NET and don't know how much you need to just add some type of control that gives you a pre made something vs style it by hand which is what I am used to doing.

If you want to work on the exact style, maybe start a new question focussing just on html/css.
