Outlook Gmail file keeps corrupting

I have set up my Gmail account using IMAP within Outlook 2013.

The offline IMAP storage file for this Gmail account is around 2.5 GB in size.

This file keeps corrupting and even after I have repaired it I continue to have problems.

One of these problems is that while I can continue to use my Gmail account within Outlook 2013 to send emails I don't receive any new emails.

These problems continue to occur even after I create new Outlook 2013 profiles for my Gmail account.

The operating system, Outlook 2013, and Office 2013 software have all had the latest Windows updates installed.

What can I do to fix this issue so that the Outlook 2013 Gmail data file will stop corrupting?

This article suggests it is due to a Windows update and suggests several fixes; but, is also from last November.

However; whenever you create a new profile, you must never use the same data file as the GUID changes.  Use the Mail icon in the control panel to create a new data file, set it to be the default, and, if you need to, import the data from the old file.
Is it a google apps account?

I have over 20 computers running this on outlook 2013 and no corruption problems.

DavisMcCarn,

Can you please post the URL hyperlink to that article?

Also I am using a regular Gmail account. not a Google Apps account.

Yes every time that I have created a new Outlook 2013 profile I have created a new Outlook Data file.

I never reuse old data files or import any information from past files that have been having problems since all of my email is stored within the Gmail server.

I have a similar setup and have experienced similar problems. In fact, I had this problem until just this week. The fix I ended up doing was creating a new mail profile. Not sure what your operating system is (it's not Outlook 2013, that's an application, not an OS), but I'll assume it's Windows 7.

To do this, go to Control Panel | Mail | Profiles | New. You'll have to setup your mail accounts again, but it's better than what you're going through IMHO. When you add your accounts back, add your Gmail last. If you use an ActiveSync account (i.e. Hotmail), do not load it until the gmail account has loaded fully (I'd wait two days minimum). This is what worked for me.

I have already followed the process described by Zack Barresse several times and the problem is that whenever the new Outlook profile is created it takes only 7-10 days until I start experiencing the exact same problem within my new Gmail profile within Outlook 2013.

Also I have Outlook 2013 set up with completely separate profiles for each email account and I never have more than one email account within a single Outlook email profile.

I have also used the Outlook profile repair tool (scanpst) whenever I receive a notification when Outlook launches that the data file is corrupt and needs to be repaired and while this might fix the large Outlook data file (around 2.5 GB in size) I always have other problems afterwards such as being able to send emails successfully but not receiving any new emails.

That is why I am trying to determine what I can do to prevent this issue from occurring in the first place or what steps I can take to fix the issue when it does occur.
The Infoworld article I posted previously specifically lists IMAP corruption issues and the reason I added the links to the hotfixes is that; otherwise, you have to ask M$ to give them to you.
