I have a SQL server 2008 and want to send mail using Lotus Notes 7, what is the configuration required to get this to work?

What is the exact scenario, how is your entire configuration, clients, servers), and which one of the elements is going to send the mail?

For instance, if you want the server to send mail, all by itself, it can prepare the mail and send it to the Domino server, without human intervention. Or if you want more client-side involvement, what is the client (maybe a browser?) and do you want to see the mail in the Notes client before sending?

Hello Sjef Bosman
I want to send e-mail from SQL Server and I want Lotus Notes to push the email to the email address.

I want to use SSIS send mail and for the email to be sent via Lotus Notes.

I do not want to view the e-mail before it is sent.

So it's the case I described: the server will send a mail via the Domino server (Domino is the server-part, Lotus Notes is the client).

There are two ways: send an SMTP mail via the Domino server, or use the Domino objects to create and send a mail. To achieve the latter, you can use Java and the DIIOP task on the Domino server.

Hello Sjef Bosman
How would I add a attachment to the email I was sending from SQL Server?

Sorry, I haven't a clue, I know a lot about Lotus Notes but nothing about SQL Server. May I suggest you find out how to send an SMTP mail first? Once that works, you can extend the functionality to include attachments.
