Online assessment creation tool

Hello - please can I ask for recommendations for a suitable 'online assessment' creation tool. I was planning to use Formsite for my current project, however the client requires random questions to be displayed from a pot (ie pick 10 from 20) + this is not supported by Formsite. I have investigated other solutions such as Woofu (no random selection either) + Questbase (good functionality but lack of layout control) but not found something that allows random questions to be selected + provides me with enough layout control to match the client's existing website style / branding. Thanks Ed

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you looked at Adobe's Captivate?

Thanks MASQ

That's an interesting thought - it certainly gives me the styling / branding options I'm after - however I'm uncertain if it will 'hold my hand' through all the logic / storage of data / analysis which the other online solutions offer? From reading the help files it looks like Captivate needs a backend LMS to hook into - and I don't have one of those. Is there one you could recommend?

The current version on Captivate has a cut-down kind of "LMS lite" included.  TBH I bought it but I'm not the user - I'll ask our L&D team.  We moved from a combination of "Toolbox" and another package who's name I can't remember but was basically a decision-tree based slide show.  Neither were really suitable for our current Intranet training.

I'm back in the office next week and will get the detail you need.

Thanks MASQ - I'd be interested to learn which solution you're using, it's always good hear from people actually using a solution.

In the meantime, I've been doing more digging + found - which is closer to what I need - I'd characterise it as follows re: my criteria - a) randomised questions = spot on, does exactly what I need, b) brand / styling control = 6/10 - good in places, weirdly not configurable in others, c) a new criteria not previously discussed - cost = it's expensive if you want to white label your work!
