Routing email from a different hub transport server in exchange 2010

Hi

I want to send email directed to a specific domain through a specific hub transport server in exchange 2010.

My company has two sites, each housing an exchange server 2010 with all roles attached.

How do i do this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

You could create a Dedicated Send Connector for the Specific Domain. While creating the new Send Connector, you could add the Specific Domain Name in SMTP Address Space. You will have to specify the FQDN of SMTP Server for the Specific Domain in Add Smarthost option. And finally you could specify the Hub Transport Server which you want to use to route mails in Source Server Page.

Please refer the following article on how to create this Send Connector.

Thanks,

I did exactly that but I found that the email was not being delivered by the 2nd site's exchange server.

Does both Site1 and Site2 has connectivity to Internet?

Hi

Sorry for not responding.
Yes both had connectivity to the internet.
I will award you some points for feedback but the way I had solved this is to use my provider's smtp server for the subject domains.

Thanks
