Just setup a new computer to replace an older one for a user on network. Then files that are offline on the old computer are more current that what is on the server. Why isn't the sync working properly? How can I get the more current files onto the server from old computer that is still working?

    Try this:

On your server add this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MRXSmb\Parameters\
OplocksDisabled type REG_DWORD with value 0.

    Then, change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
    EnableOplocks to 1.

Reboot you server and try again.

    Accepted Solution

This did not work until I went directly to the home directory and click sync. Now it seems to be working on it's own.

    Thank you
