Acer Monitors - screws to mount

I have several Acer monitors 17" & 19" - we purchased a few new cubicles in our office and have a monitor mounting stand in the new cubs.  Our Acer monitors have four screw holes on the back (so I assume the monitor can be mounted) - but I need to purchase the screws.  I chatted with Acer support and they directed me to a parts vendor - but the vendor advised they don't sell the screws.  I should go to a local hardware store to buy the screws.  Please advise if this is the case and if so what size screws do I need to buy??  Thank you,

Didn't the monitors come with their own stands? Usually if you remove that stand you are left with 4 screws. Take one of those screws to your hardware shop and ask them to get you screws with the same thread. They may just have to be longer for your special stand, so do the measurements beforehand.

Thank you!  I didn't think of removing the stand since it was a "snap on" stand - but it does have screws holding the top part of the stand and they do fit in the empty holes for mounting!  I appreciate your help.
