Is the MCITP Windows 2008 Server Enterprise Admin still marketable

    I am one exam away from getting my  MCITP.

    Is this cert still marketable now that the MCSE is back? I would think it is since many customers are still using 2K8

    What are your thoughts?

      I think you have posted in a zone where you will receive less than satisfactory answers.

      You can still have fun, though.
      Exercise your sense of humor and all will be well.

      I got Good News, and I got Bad News, for you:

      The Good News is -- you have posted in the only TA where all the Experts are Certified.

      The Bad News is --  it's for Insanity.

      <serious answer>
      Everything's on the cloud.  Cloud cloud cloud.  The MCITP was pre-cloud, so you need to get a MCITFnC.

      <not so serious answer>

      Then there's your answer.  If many clients are running 2008, then having the 2008-specific certification is valuable to them, and not so much newer certs.   A number of companies will shy away from people with newer training and experiences, thinking 'we're a couple of versions back, so we don't want to pay the price tag for something we're not going to use anytime soon.'

      I have been trying to get one place to upgrade their 2000 servers - I can't even get them to budge to 2003!
