Avoid Login Prompts in Sharepoint

Is there anyone that can configure the internal access to my our Sharepoint without password prompt even though we type the domain name, portal.abc.com ? It only works with portal but not the portal.abc.com. In fact, Portal.abc.com is resolved to a local server within our office. Tks
