Dual authentication on Facebook?

Hi,

I tried to activate dual authentication on Facebook, but it does not work. Activating works, I have a code generated by google authenticator but Facebook does not ask for it!

Note: I d need Facebook only to adk for code on not trusted devices. My iphone, ipad or pc should ask for code only once.

Pls advise.
J.

Some steps to check on as shared below on a step-by-step guide on how to use a third-party app:

Login to Facebook.
Navigate to Account Settings, then Security.
Look for Login Approvals, and click Edit.
If you haven’t already, enable the Login Approvals feature.
Click the Set up Code Generator link.
When the modal dialog appears, click Next.
Click the Having trouble? link.
On the following page, click the Get Key button.
You can then enter this key into any Time-based One Time use Password (TOTP) generator like Google Authenticator for iPhone and Android or my Authenticator app for Windows Phone.
After entering this key into the TOTP generator of your choice, click Continue.
Enter your current one-time use code generated by your phone and click Continue to save these settings.
You can now use your phone to generate your login approval code without having to wait for a text message.

If you've turned on login approvals, there are 3 different ways you can collect your login code:

We'll send you a text (SMS) message with a login code each time you need one

You can get 10 codes to have when you need them

You can activate our Code Generator (if you have the Facebook app on your smartphone) or use another app that generates codes

As mentioned, I configured it, but Facebook does not ask me for extra code.

Things to note:
a) from a step by step guide to setup mobile sms notification to ensure the mobile is recognised and receiving well (minimally this should works, with text notifications turned on)
http://www.zdnet.com/tutorial-facebook-2-factor-authentication-step-by-step_p2-7000028372/

b) Login approvals requires you to enter a code we send to your mobile phone via text message whenever you log into Facebook from a new or unrecognized computer

c) also Login Approvals, i noticed the author in link a/m shared "... and gave the Timeline my mobile phone's real number." Select your main phone’s number and not a Google Voice number that is tied to your account

another is try other 2FA (SAASPASS) , note that Google Authenticator stores keys in plain/clear text; this is a problem especially with rooted devices and backup programs, where unencrypted data can be viewed easily
