Some cameras place the videos in a different folder.  Are there multiple folders?

it is possible that the video files got corrupted some how and they are no longer readable either by your camera or by your pc.  You may need to use a recovery program to recover the damaged files or you may use the windows based recovery check disc to see if it can repair any damaged files.
