Remote app utilizes the same ports as remote desktop services, by default this is 3389. However, for security purposes Azure randomizes the Remote Desktop Services ports when the virtual machine is built. You can find the remote access connection and ports in the machine properties from the Azure Portal. I've found that most of the time the RDP ports are in the 50000-70000 range on Azure.

More about the RDP file you can download from the portal: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh124107#bk_access

This blog posts helps explain RDP access it a bit further - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/davidmcg/archive/2011/06/15/remote-desktop-in-windows-azure-what-s-it-doing.aspx
