I wanted to know what is the best way for me to synch a local copy of a database found on my Ipad to the same database on the remote host.
There are multiple tables which may be modified locally. I just want to upload/update those records which were created/edited offline.

FileMaker provides a document on how to do this: FileMaker Sync Guide.

There are Third-Party solutions available that may make it easier (generally software cost involved):
360 Works MirrorSync
SeedCode GoZync
