Just try to uncomment the line "date_default_timezone_set"  in /app/config/core.php.

//date_default_timezone_set('UTC');

Open in new window

Hope you're using PHP 5.3?

Issue is fixed.
Problem was with the permissions (have to be writable) to:
/tmp/cache
/tmp/logs
