It is a long story but I currently have an Essentials 2012R2 server as a DC running on 2012 hyper-v. &nbsp;I have some serious issues with this install and would like to install a second virtual instance of Essentials R2 on the same hyper-v hardware, migrate everything from the old server to the new instance (as a DC) then eliminate the old DC image.<br />

Will this work??<br />

If not what is the best method??<br />

Migrate from one server to another

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2012 is the first version of Windows Server to have no support for Itanium-based computers since Windows NT 4.0. Windows Server 2012, now in its second release (Windows Server 2012 Release 2) includes Foundation, Essentials, Standard and Datacenter, and does not support IA-32 or IA-64 processors.
