Word 2010 Up/Down Arrow

I have a client who has Microsoft Office Standard 2010. They are having a problem in word. They were previously able to go to a previous line or to the next line by using the up/down arrow keys. However, all of a sudden (they don't know what they could have done), the up and down arrow keys enter an actual up or down arrow into the document. (The left and right arrows do not, however).

We have tried a new document, it does the same thing. There are no macros in the document. We have done a repair on the suite and this didn't fix it either.

We can't seem to find a solution anywhere and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Try the steps in theis Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/921541
There is a Fix-it procedure, or, manually, you would rename the Normal template and clear the Word Data and Options keys in the registry.
