Internet email to Exchange 2010 Hub Transport Server

Hello,

I have a newly deployed Exchange 2010HT as part of my 2003 transition. I realise after the installation of the HT server role (no 2010 MB yet) mail from some the internet servers are failing with the 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated error.

I am using the "Default Server Name" receive connector with Annonymous users enabled on permissions group. I am using TLS, Basic, Exchange and Integrated windows Authentications. on the connector

Email from many other internet domains (e.g. yahoo.com) are delivered but not gmail.com for example.

What  could be missing?

Make sure  "Anonymous users" ticked in default receive connector under permissions tab

Check this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb690954(v=exchg.141).aspx

Annonymous users was ticked alright.

The problem has been resolved now. There was an additional receive connector created that was configured to listen on all remote IPs (with different Internal IP) on port 25 but with  Annonymous unticked. That connector was "competing " with the default connector which had annoymous access for internet email.

You did not mention about the addition connector in place.
Anyway my solution helped you I guess.
If yes. Please award the full points if you dont mind

There was an additional misconfiguration that had to be deleted.
