PDF to Word convertor via Exchange Mailbox (NOT ONLINE

I want to install our own pdf to word convertor for our staff to use.
The easiest solution I can think of is the user sends the pdf(s) to an internal mailbox
Software that monitors the mailbox will convert the attachments and reply to the sender with .doc or .docx versions

Is anybody aware of software that can achieve this?
My staff are hugely un-technical and can't quiet grasp the simplicity of the online pdf to word converter websites!

You may want to try this:
http://www.freepdfconvert.com/pdf-email

It's not a local installation, but the process is exactly what you're looking for — the users simply send an email to a specific email address (docx@freepdfconvert.com) with a PDF file attached and Convert in the subject. A reply will come back with the DOCX attached. It can also do the same with PDF to PowerPoint (email: pptx@freepdfconvert.com) and PDF to Excel (email: xlsx@freepdfconvert.com).

However, I want to warn you that PDF-to-Word (or Excel or PowerPoint) conversion is tricky business – maintaining the formatting/layout is tough stuff! I haven't found anything that is perfect, and results vary from one document to the next. So my suggestion is to create a set of benchmark documents — your docs! Use them to evaluate all PDF-to-Word conversion tools that you're considering — compare the resulting Word files to see which, if any, of the tools produces Word files that are satisfactory to your users.
