XBMC not showing movies on iphone app or on main screen

Hi,

Please see this post https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28371017/Xbmc-iphone-app-doesn-t-show-movies.html for reference.

I still have the same issue + also the main screen isn't showing content correctly.
I wonder if it could be due to the fact I'm using NFS?

Pls advise.
J.

Hello  janhoedt
I'll reread the previous, it sounds as if you have not done everything right or the media source is not being shared correctly.
did you jail break it?
RequirementsTo install XBMC for iOS you must have a jailbroken iDevice running iOS 4.0 through 7.0.6. (4.3 or higher recommended)
 For hardware: iPad (1,2,3,4), iPad Air, iPad Mini (1,2), iPhone (4, 4S, 5, 5c, 5S), iPod touch (4, 5).
If you have any issues, be sure to read the iOS FAQ!

1.6 Accessing media
See also: Adding videos to the library and File sharing
You'll want to connect to media that's being shared from a computer, HTPC, or NAS device on your local network, especially with the ATV2 since it only has 8 GB of space. iPad and other iDevices can store files locally, and the iPad specifically can also use the Apple Camera Kit to use USB drive and SD cards. Guides for these will be arriving shortly, until then try searching the forums or Youtube.

ASKER

Thanks for your extended effort but your answer is not relevant to me. Pls do read my prevent post. Xbmc is on rasberry pi, ios is not jailbroken.
So is there any iOS involved at all?
Which distribution you run on raspberry pi?
http://m.instructables.com/id/XBMC-Frodo-AirPlay-Capabilities-Across-The-XBMC-Su/step2/Activating-AirPlay-Service-In-XBMC-for-IOS/

Towards the bottom this line:

9- Almost all files can be air played but videos in the actual "Videos" app. Mostly items in your camera roll. Activate AirPlay and select your XBMC devices name from the list and watch the magic!

Would seem to suggest that videos are not supported.
Note: AirPlay mirroring only works from an iDevice with an A5 or higher SoC (iPhone 4S, iPad 2/3), and will only stream to the native AirPlay feature of Apple TV 2 and 3 (in other words, it won't work with XBMC's AirPlay server as a target)

Note: airplay for videos is not an option at all. It is incredibly slow (almost like it's not responding) on xmbc.
With all do respect, the answers provided were not helping in any way to solve my issue.
Reinstall did solve it.
