For the life of me I cannot get SCCM 2012 R2 to install on a server 2012 R2 server.  When it comes to the SQL part I get the error message attached.

I tried every solution suggested out there.
I cannot get past this part.

It is a test virtual environment.
SCCM server & SQL server can ping each other and see each other.
SPN has been set.  The necessary accounts have been added to each servers 'local admins'.

The firewalls have been disabled on both servers.

SQL from the error message shown, has all the necessary items configured.
SQL server configuration manager has been setup as requested :dynamic ports etc..

The SQL server is NOT on the same box as SCCM.

Can anyone help I cannot figure this out.

ThanksSQL 2012 R2

That has been done.

Even when it is on the local box, I cannot connect to SQL server.

Did you add builtin/users or whatever group you are using to the SQL users in ssms?

Basically I believe that the user sccm is using to connect to SQL isn't setup in SQL. This blog goes through all the steps nicely
