Server 2003 & Exchange Server 2003 - Removing Barracuda 200 Spam Filter / Can send outgoing mail but not receive incoming mail?

When we shut off barracuda spam filter device all outgoing mail works however incoming  mail does not? I have checked exchange settings, dns records on the server from top to bottom and have not found anything that points to the barracuda device. When I open telnet and type in mail.domain.com 25, it says
220 barracuda.ourdomainname.com) ESMTP (d3bb5396e085a7dd0413fb4fc0e4ef6d)??

Thanks!

when you ping mail.domain.com, what IP is returned?
Does this IP belong to the exchange server? confirm and cross check the IPs on the exchange server.
When i type in mail.domain.com, it returns the outside IP address where the exchange server is located at the office.
What Private IP is that that Public IP NATed to?  The Network Address Translation needs to Map port 25 on your firewall/router to the private ip and port on your mail server.  Sounds like your Baracuda is still the smtp recipient server.  When you say you say shut if off, what exactly do you mean? Pulled one network cable off??
no we powered it down as soon as we did all incoming email stopped, outgoing mail works just fine. The moment we power it back on emails begin to flow again.

I don't have access to there system to find out I will have find out on Monday.
They had a WatchGuard firebox that was redirection port 25 to the barracuda spam filter, redirected port 25 to the IP address of the exchange server and issue was resolved.
